From the start, sustainability has been a core principle of the Northwind mission. Northwind was founded because we saw a problem with the leather manufacturing industry. The leather that we use--known as “remnant leather”--was intended for production of another product, but due to the shape of that product off-cuts result. These off-cuts, while still perfectly good leather, are often discarded and end up in landfills. With the help of our loyal customers, we at Northwind have saved over 80,000 pounds of high-end leather from landfills, keeping our planet clean and bringing environmentally friendly goods to our customers in the process.
To celebrate the positive impact you’ve helped us make, we’re launching a limited edition Reclaimed Collection! Like many Northwind products, every Reclaimed Collection product is made from high-quality remnant vegetable tanned leather, making these some of the best eco-friendly items you’ll find.
